European Commission

Information points...

The European Commission Delegation in the Republic of Macedonia, within its Informative working programme, initiated a process of opening EU informative points within the existing regional centers for informing the citizens.

The goal is to introduce the Macedonia citizens to the work, the organization and the European Union activities in our country and in the region. The citizens will have a free access to the EU Internet sites and publications on EU. The citizens will be able to attend meetings discussing various EU-related subjects of interest to Macedonia.

...and three new EIHDR projects

Three other projects from Macedonia will be financed within the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights - EIDHR. They are: the project "Establishing a strategy for cultural development within the multiethnic society", that will be implemented by the association "Multimedia"; the project "I, the citizen, face to face with my representatives at the Parliament", that will be implemented by the association "Sreken Zivot" (Happy Life) form Tetovo; and the project "Corruption - no, Rule of law - yes", that will be implemented by the Civic Information Center "Spektar" (Spectrum).

The amount of 30 000 Euro, which is the total budget for these three projects, are the unused EIDHR finances in 1999 and 2000.
