Evaluation of the influences on the environment
Within the project "Support to the Macedonian Legal System by introducing international procedures for evaluation of the influences on the environment", financed by the Japanese Special Fund, on 22/23 January in Skopje, a meeting took place, discussing this problem. The projects has been implemented by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe - REC, and the meeting was attended by government and NGO representatives, representatives from the institutions and the business-sector.
The goal of this meeting is to present the current condition for the implementation of the procedures for evaluation of the influences on the environment and make use of the foreign experiences more successful establishment of a law regulation as an obligation in adjusting the legislation to the EU standards. The Law for evaluation of the influences on the environment is an act that has to be soon passed in this context in Macedonia.
