Campaign “We are all their children”

An impressive campaign for helping the elderly people in Macedonia was organized in the month of May under the motto “We are all their children”. The donation was aimed for improving the conditions at the nursing homes in the country like: Mother Theresa, Sue Rider – the old building in Bitola, “Kiro Krstevski - Platnik” in Prilep and “Zafir Sajto” in Kumanovo.

The campaign started on 5 May, and on the account which remained open until 15 June, for only a month, about one million denars were collected.

Part of the campaign were several music stars from Macedonia who organized a humanitarian concert on 29 May in Skopje, and the organizers, the Red Cross- Skopje, Cosmofon, and the agency New Moment received the support from some of the media, institutions, productions and individuals.

The media emphasized the donation by the Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski which amounted 60,000 denars, as well as the donation by Trifun Kostovski, the Mayor of Skopje, which amounted 100,000 denars.
