Civic practices

The Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation (MCIC) has published the sixth issue of its edition Civic Practices. On the pages of this publication one can find the opinions and attitudes of four authors writing on: Advocating and lobbying within the civil society organizations” and “Human rights protection through the mechanisms of the civil society organizations”.

The topic of advocating and lobbying as activities that bring social changes is becoming more frequent in discussion within the civil sector. Besides, an increased number of projects implemented by the CSOs, use advocacy and lobbying as instruments. The text dedicated to human rights protection through the mechanisms of the civil society organizations starts from the dilemma “whether CSOs can protect the human rights, or are they just a decor of the democracy”?
