The Youth Centre Babylon from Strumica was founded in 2001. This center is part of the Babylon Centres located in 25 towns in Macedonia, and financially supported by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the World Bank, implemented by the Agency for Young and Sports.

The mission of YC Babylon is to improve the life skills and the quality of living of the young people for their better integration in the society through the informal education.

YC Babylon has several goals – building healthy lifestyles, youth organizing, participation of the young people in the public life, strengthening and development of youth initiatives in the field of culture and art, promotion of volunteering and better informing, as well as equal approach to the information for all young people.

The Babylon activists are realizing it through a number various activities, such as education, attending language and computer courses, learning to be creative and learning the life skills, organizing cultural events (concerts, exhibitions…). The YC Babylon cooperates with other civil society organizations and organizes interactive lectures on drugs, diseases of addiction, HIV/AIDS, etc. Part of the Babylon activities is organizing workshops and training courses.

Babylon is directing its future activities towards organizing workshops and training courses for young people on: participation of the young people in the society, youth organizing, youth leadership, intercultural learning, organizational management, as well realization of the workshops with “Multi-Media Social for Art Change Meeting the Youth of Macedonia”, organized by “Youth Voices Group Macedonia”.

The YC Babylon is open for all young people and works with young people for young people…
