Novelties in the education in Serbian, Turkish and Vlach language

The Swiss Embassy will finance textbooks

The Swiss Embassy, through the Agency for Education will finance the printing of textbooks in Turkish and Serbian language for the primary school and high school children. The books will be translated from Macedonian, and the students will be able to use them starting from the next school year. According to Dragan Nedeljkovik, head of the Directorate for Development of the Education of the Communities, the project will cover 255 primary school pupils who study in Serbian language, 7 000 primary school pupils that learn in Turkish language. Books in Serbian language will be used by the pupils from the schools "Kiril and Metodij" in Kuceviste, "Svetozar Markovik" in Staro Nagoricane, "Braka Ribar" in Tabanovce, "Vuk Karadzik" in Kumanovo and "Blaze Koneski" in Skopje, while the textbooks in Turkish, among others, will be used by the pupils from "Petar Zdravkoski - Penko" and "Tefejuz". Starting from October, an optional lectures in Vlach language are planned at the Faculty of Pedagogy in Stip.
