“Brima Galup” research The Red Cross – the most recognizable organization The Macedonian Red Cross presented the results of the questionnaire carried out by the “Brima Gallup” agency to find out what the public thinks of the organization. The research was carried out in November last year and it covered 1 000 people, 44% of which said that according to the rating it has, the Macedonian Red Cross tops the list of other organizations dealing with humanitarian activities. Second on the list is “El Hilal”, supported by 22% of the questioned. To the question “Have you ever heard of the Red Cross?”, 93% answered positively, and those who said they have never heard of it, were aged 55 and above, which is a clear signal that the number of young people who are familiar with the organizations has increased. Forty four percent of the questioned links the agency to the word “help”. To the question “What are the organization’s basic activities?”, 90% said it was providing humanitarian help, and as much as 62% of them said that it helps the socially threatened families. Sixty-four percent categorize the organization’s image as being humanitarian; as much as 58% demonstrated a high level of trust in the Red Cross, especially when it comes to donation distribution, and 9% confirmed they have received certain help from it. The Red Cross organization, which is presently engaged in its personal reformation, finds the results highly important.   S.K.
