Promotion of UMWO
“Sexual harassment”
Within the project “Sexual harassment”, supported by the International Women Council, The Union of Macedonian Women Organizations promoted the brochure “Sexual harassment” on 7 April this year. The brochure contains the results from the research implemented by UMWO in 10 towns in Macedonia, as part o the eponymous project. The project’s goal is to acquire statistical data on the sexual harassment and informing the public on its existence and the need to take appropriate measures for its elimination. The research was also aimed at seeing if we recognize the sexual harassment and whether it exists at the universities, when finding employment or at the place of work.
The brochure was promoted by Sanija Burageva, inspector-in-chief at the Ministry of Interior for fight against human trafficking and other violent crime. The statistical data were presented by Dr. Jorde Jakimovski from the Institute for Social and Legal-Political researches, who also did the analysis and the processing of the data.
