The Red Cross marked the World Food Day Action dedicated to Tose “Think of us” was the motto under which this year the Red Cross of Skopje, together with its five municipal organizations and the American high school “Nova” marked 16th October, the World Food Day, which is almost every year traditionally marked with various humanitarian actions. This year at three locations in Skopje there was a humanitarian action. The activists of the Red Cross of Skopje in the city shopping center, the shopping center “Biser” and the shopping center “Leptokarija” sold tea and milk cups and the funds from the sale were aimed at providing packages of food products for old people from rural areas, as well as for families living in poor conditions. From the Red Cross they say that the reaction to this humanitarian action was big, and the collected funds confirm it. “With this action the Red Cross volunteers once again reminded of the global problem of hunger and its existence in our surroundings. It is sad to mention that the day of the action, 16th October, was the day when our Tose Proeski tragically died. Being questioned whether to realize it, the young people were unanimous, that it should be realized and dedicated to Tose”, they say from the Red Cross of Skopje. “Tose was our humanitarian”, was the logo that covered the Red Cross stalls.
