NGOs Respond to EU-Enlargement Challenges

European NGOs Confederation for Relief and Development (CONCORD) has issued a statement “EU-Enlargement Related Challenges for Development Policies in the European Union”, which addresses recently published study by the European Commission “Consequences of Enlargement for Development Policy” on the issue. The study has been drafted by CONCORDS Working Group on Enlargement, which comprises of CONCORD members and representatives from New Members States’ NGOs.  The main recommendations and proposals addressed to the EU and Governments in New Member States can be found at http://www.trialog.or.at/docs/challenges-of-enlargement.pdf.
