The Red Cross, IKOMOS and Gutenberg are celebrating

Last year, the Macedonian Red Cross celebrated its 60th anniversary. This great jubilee was marked with a solemn academy and assembly at which more than 100 certificates were presented to various activists, humanitarian workers and friends of the Red Cross. …of the celebration was the Macedonian president, Branko Crvenkovski, and a posthumous certificate was awarded to the tragically ….president, Boris Trajkovski.

On 18 April, the World Day of the Cultural Heritage, the 40th anniversary of the international IKOMOS was celebrated.  The Macedonian IKOMOS marked this jubilee by officially opening its locations at the Bezisten in Old Skopje Bazaar.

Another interesting international jubilee will be marked in July this year – the Gutenberg museum is celebrating the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first newspaper in the world. An exhibition on the history of the newspapers will be opened. The Gutenberg museum has been awarded with a official certificate for completing 4 centuries by the printed media of the International Association of Newspapers – VAN.
