Before the G-8 Summit

Let's focus the global challenges

The civic organizations from several countries send a continuous appeal to the USA, EU and other developed countries to determine the global challenges and focus their work and plans on them. The group G-8 which includes the seven most developed countries in the world, plus Russia, will hold a summit from 8 to 10 June this year in Georgia, USA. Civic organization think that that the US President George Bush will try at this Summit to reduce the discussion to the fight against terrorism, neglecting the other important challenges of the mankind, such as the globalisation, the problems with pollution, poverty, food, etc.
