This date is dedicated to urban settlements and regions, that is, the problems of living in urban settlements. Social problems, even ecological issues, architecture, cultural living and other issues in such a community are the topics to which this day is dedicated.

Fight against fascism and anti-Semitism

The World Day against Fascism and Anti-Semitism unites all progressive forces in action against these destructive ideologies that, unfortunately, still exist. In many parts of the world, fascism favors “the gathered” nations and anti-Semitism is aimed only at Jewish people.

 

14 November

Let’s celebrate science

This date is dedicated to science. Knowledge and science, that enlighten and broaden the horizons, are celebrated. Students and pupils should be first to celebrate the science but the whole academic community should also get involved in the activities.

 

25 November

“No” to violence against women

Nowadays, unfortunately, a lot of women are subject to violence – regardless of the fact whether it comes from the family or regimes in the society. Many women’s actions against violence are raised on this day and it is the beginning of the world campaign in which women organizations in our country get involved.

 

27 November

Buy nothing day!

In order to promote the fight against spending spree, which is particularly present in developed countries, a day has been introduced when we should refrain from shopping. Activists call on this day not to buy anything, thus symbolically contributing in the action against this phenomenon that has negative ecological consequences.
