Counseling for the annual financial report for the non-for-profit organizations
On 20 and 21 January 2005, the Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation (MCIC) and the Economic Centre Primeko from Skopje organized a Counseling for the preparation of an annual financial report for the non-for-profit organizations for the year 2004, first of its kind in Macedonia. The counseling was attended by 150 representatives from the civil society organizations in charge of the financial working, accountants and other interested whose range of work is related to the managing and the finances in the non-for-profit organizations. “In my opinion, the regulative that refers to the financial working of the civil society organizations is not clear enough and the civil society organizations are insufficiently informed on all the regulations and norms, and the fact that this seminar is the first on this problem only confirms that they had no opportunity to”, said Rosano Colakov from KOMAJA – association for the development of art of living who was one of the participants at the counseling. The seminar covered subjects like: legal regulative when preparing the annual financial report for 2004, incomes, expenditures, revalorization, fulfilling the tax balance sheet for 2004, patterns that the annual financial report consists of and how to fill them in and new legal regulations. Frosina Anevska from the Economic Centre Primeko emphasized that the participants showed greatest interest in taxes, since they knew least about them, but also that very few organizations had rules and regulations for financial working. She added that she hoped that the consultations would change that. An initiative board was set up at the seminar and it passed a resolution for establishing an association called “Association of non-for-profit organizations’ accountants of Macedonia whose president will be Zoran Mitrevski. The Association’s offices will be located in “Nikola Parapunov Street in Skopje at the MCIC premises.
