Old Skopje Bazaar Revitalization

In the organization of the Publishing House List, a two-day journalist seminar on ”Old Bazaar Revitalization” took place. The Mayor of Skopje, Mr. Risto Penov, greeted the seminar, encouraging the positive attempts of the non-governmental sector to fill the gap the officials in charge failed to, which caused many Skopje citizens to move away from this attractive city nucleus.

The foundation “Conrad Adenauer” financed this seminar. There were lectures at the seminar, among which Mr. Labin Tomovski from the Institute for protection of Skopje Monuments, Mr. Nikos Causidis, assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, Mr. Zvonko Djokic from the Human Relations Centre, Mr. Goce Drtkovski from “List”, Mrs. Olga Colancevska, architect from “Urbis”, engaged in the “Cifte-Amam Reconstruction Project, Mr. Drito Kasapi, art director of the Children Theatre, Mrs. Julija Trickovska from IKONOMOS, Mr. Nikola Gligorov, director of Skopsko Leto and Mr. Klime Babunski.
