Anti-Corruption Conference
From 25-31 May, the South Korean Government will be the host of the 11th Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) and The Third Global Forum for Fight Against Corruption and Protection of the Integrity, organized by the Korean Ministry of Justice. The Global Forum will gather together government representatives from the whole world to share their experiences, promote the understanding on effective practices and explore new and better ways for eliminating the corruption. The Third Global Forum will take into consideration the previous two forums, but it will also draw practical solutions for fight with corruption problems, thus animating the subject "Current challenges, shared responsibilities".
"The real democracies are like glasshouses, open for public examination, transparent and confident. Therefore, democratic governments need their citizens to participate in the national and international organizations in order to carry out an appropriate research of the realization of government affairs", said Vinsente Fox Quesada, Mexican President, at the 10th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Prague, 2001. |
