Foundation "Trifun Kostovski"

Promotion of the historic, cultural and scientific work

The Foundation that was established by and bears the name of the Macedonian businessman and Member of Parliament, Trifun Kostovski is located at the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art and accepted by all its bodies. This year, the Foundation "Trifun Kostovski" marks six years of its existence, a period in which through its activities, it confirms the direction it woks in: promotion of the Macedonian historic, cultural and scientific work as an exceptional actor in the existence and the development of the civil society.

One of its most representative activities is the establishment of the National Galery of Portraits of the Macedonian Heavyweights, that includes all famous figures in the field of culture, science and art that left their marks in the history of building this country. The Gallery is located at Macedonian Academy for Science and Art and so far it has about a hundred of works, paintings and sculptures by Macedonian artists, increasing its fund regularly with an intention to grow into an open and available space where the citizens will be able to learn about the most important people from the history of their country. The Foundation "Trifun Kostovski" publishes capital works in the field of linguistics, history, culture and art, among which we can mention the "Phonology" by Blaze Koneski, the monographs about Todor Skalovski and Dimitar Kondovski, "The culture and art in Western Macedonia in the XIX century" by academician Cvetan Grozdanov, and special attention is paid to the publication of sublimed forms in some of the world languages. The Foundation, as its members emphasize, is open for initiatives and proposals, among which we can mention the making and presentation of the medals "Blaze Koneski" and "Krste Petkov - Misirkov" for important individuals who contributed to the development and the promotion of Macedonia in the world and for research in the field of the Macedonian language and culture, and also the possibility to award scholarships in future to young scientists and artists.
