European Agency for Reconstruction
Five projects for inter-ethnic reconciliation
"I truly hope that these projects, in their original way, will contribute to the realization of the vision for European Macedonia, that we all want to see", said Radmila Shekerinska, vice-Prime Minister at the Macedonian Government, at the promotion of five projects for inter-ethnic reconciliation, that took place on 27 March this year at the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) headquarters.
All five projects applied at the EAR call from November 2002 for projects treating the inter-ethnic relations in Macedonia. The projects will be implemented by: Search for Common Ground, "Children Puppet Theatre". "Macedonian Center for International Cooperation", "Pages for Mutual Understanding", European Perspective, "Development of the community through improving the inter-ethnic relations", CRIC, "Action for citizenship through theater games"; Kere Holland, "Triangle - three universities respond to ethnic divisions".
According to Daniel Juliyaris, Head of the EAR Center in Skopje, these projects are part of the efforts for connecting the EU help for reconstruction, which followed after the 2001 conflict, and for promotion of long-term peace and stability of the country.
