Realization of ethnic communities’ rights in the Republic of Macedonia
The civil society association for support of the multi-ethnic dialogue and community development “Common Values”, has done a survey on the national legislative concerning the rights of the ethnic communities in Macedonia. The survey covers the international documents for minority rights protection and their reflection on the Macedonian legislation. The analysis was a basis for the preparation of the Guide for realizing the ethnic communities’ rights in Macedonia, which is a synthesis of the Macedonian legislation and reviews all practical aspects of realizing the rights and freedoms of the members of ethnic communities who live in Macedonia. It covers the basic rights and freedoms (personal, political, social, economic and cultural), as well as the special rights of the members of ethnic communities. It is available on the web-site www.cv.org.mk, and it can be obtained in printed version at the Associations’ premises (telephone number: 02 / 3113 966 and 02 / 3113 907).
