For a democratic society – equal choice

In October this year, the Women Civic Initiative Antico started the realization of their pre-election campaign under the motto “For a democratic society – equal choice”. The campaign is based on an action platform with concrete guidelines and requests for improving the position of women and protection of their rights in all spheres of the social living. Antico strives for strengthening the positions of women in the managing structures of the parties, increase in the number of women-mayors and consultants at the municipality councils on local level, as well as for education for creating a voting culture within the women voters.

The campaign covers several activities on national and local level that are being realized in 10 local communities in Macedonia by 43 educated trainers, 60 volunteers and other active members from the local members of Antico’s NGO network, as well as 10 local coordinators. The campaign will last until the local elections.
