Web-site on alternative tourism 

The web-site gomacedonia.com is the first Macedonian site, which has an offer of alternative tourism. Through the web-site one can book one-day or several-day tours at the Macedonian monasteries, villages, mountains, natural localities…It also offers team-building tours. The tours are organized by the eponymous agency which is an exclusive agency specialized in the so-called alternative tourism in Macedonia.

 

Clearinghouse for biosafety

Portal on the biosafety in Macedonia

The Internet address www.biosafety.org.mk publishes the web portal Macedonian clearinghouse for biosafety. Although the page is still under construction, its menu offers data related to this problem – the legal framework, the Cartagena protocol on biosafety, genetically modified organisms – that will soon be available to the public in electronic form.

Project for conservation of Pelister

Brochures on Pelister and Brajcino
 

The office of the project for conservation of Pelister has published three brochures that present the natural and cultural heritage of the mountain and the village Brajcino where the first steps for development of the village tourism have been made. The brochures are in English and they offer information on the local attractions, the accommodation possibilities, mountain and village tours, etc. The project is financed by the Swiss Development Agency ad it is implemented by the Swiss organization Pro Natura. 

 

History of the Roma in Bitola

In the last month of 2004, the Roma Association from Bitola “Bairska Svetlina” promoted the book “History of the Roma in Bitola” (conversations with older Roma in Bitola). The authors of the book are Geoff Lindemaer, volunteer of the Peace Corps and Sotir Ramadanov, member of “Bairska Svetlina”

“History of the Roam in Bitola” (conversations with older Roma in Bitola) is financially supported by USAID through the Peace Corp.
