Ekokrater Awarded for the Best Visual-Graphic Design

 

The civil society association Ekokrater from Kratovo is the winner of this year’s Award for the best visual-graphic design of a printed book, which was awarded for the third time at the Infocentre in Skopje by the Foundation Open Society Institute – Macedonia.

The aim of the award is upgrading the standards, and also prompting the creativity and professionalism in the area of visual-graphic design of printed works.

At the published competition, apart from the awarded tourist guide, also the following printed editions arrived: “50 years Museum of Prilep” by the Institute for protection of monuments of culture and museum Prilep, “100 years modern architecture 2 – contribution of separate countries and the new experts of the modern” by PhD Mihail Tokarev who at the same time appears also as publisher and technical editor, The encyclopedia MI-ANOVA by the publishing house MI-AN, and The forum for rights of the Romany people “Arka” from Kumanovo, The centre for democratic development from Tetovo, The centre for civil initiative – Prilep and “Choice” from Strumica, were candidates with Report for the period 2004-2005. The award is in the amount of 1,000 Euros and a jury consisted of : Slavica Janeslieva – Bacvarska, artist, Dejan Georgievski, web-editor and Gordana Duvnjak, editor in Utrinski vesnik and member of the Management Committee of FOSIM, decided on this year’s winner.
