Support to the action against illegal constructions on the Lake Ohrid coast

Careful, not to pollute the lake

The Journalist - Legal Enviro Centre Erina expresses a public support to the action carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Relations for removing the illegal constructions 

"The action is a confirmation of the Government efforts for functioning of the legal country and protection of the environment, especially of the biggest Macedonian natural treasure - the Lake Ohrid. We encourage the minister Budzaku, the director Trosanski and the National Inspectorate for Town Planning, as well as the other representatives from the government bodies, to persist in this action despite the various pressures. At the same time, we would like to remind that the action for removing the illegal constructions should be carried out carefully, so that the Lake and the coast are not polluted. We also call for similar actions that will prevent the destruction of other protected natural areas in Macedonia, especially the national parks. In this regard, the problems of this kind should not be dealt with from an urban aspect only, but they should also be approached from an environmental aspect in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning"  - stress out the JLEC Erina members.
