Work on prevention against blood and sexually transmitted infections
The Association for Health Education, Prevention and Better Treatment – HEPTA is a newly-formed association established in 2006, whose goal is to improve psychophysical health, social, professional and family functioning, by developing prevention programs for protection against blood and sexually transmitted infections.
The Association functions on a voluntary basis and its activities do not have any constant funds, but they require donations for each campaign they realize.
Its members work on prevention programs directed towards protection against infections with viruses of hepatitis C and B, protection against HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and they also realize programs for improving the conditions for treatments and social inclusion of people infected with the viruses of hepatitis C and B, AIDS virus and other blood and sexually transmitted infections.
HEPTA also realizes programs and activities for lobbying and representation of protection and advancement of human rights of people infected with the viruses of hepatitis C and B, AIDS virus and other blood and sexually transmitted infections, regardless of their connection, national, ethnic, gender and sexual orientation. Part of the programs refer to making the public sensible of a higher level of understanding and active support of people infected with the viruses of hepatitis C and B, AIDS virus and other blood and sexually transmitted infections and informing and education of different target groups is also present, for prevention against infections with the viruses of hepatitis C and B, AIDS virus and other blood and sexually transmitted infections. Within the association’s programs there is also development of social marketing for the problems related to blood and sexually transmitted infections.
