Affirmation of the apiculture

The Association of Beekeepers Queen Bee, supported by the Institute for Sustainable Communities from USA started a campaign for affirmation of the apiculture in Kocani.

The realization of their goals – affirmation of the apiculture, education and expert training for the beekeepers and affirmation of the beekeeping as an economy branch – this autumn went through working on the CRIC, Italy, micro-project. Seven beekeepers received equipment worth DM 18.000 within this project, and in return they gave 1,300 kilograms of honey of their own production.
Expert trainings by instructors form Italy and visits to a beehive in Ohrid, followed by practical lessons, were also organized. Along with all this there was a beekeepers exhibition in Kocani.
