A new fund for the Balkans

The European Balkan Fund is a new initiative for supporting the civil society organizations in the Balkan region. The initiative originates from several European organizations: Robert Bosch Foundation, King Boudaun Foundation, the private foundation Die ERSTE Oserreiche Sparcasse, Campagnie di San Paolo, and others. They join assets to enable the civil society organizations from the Western Balkans get involved in the euro-integration process more actively.

The Fund is to be launched during 2007. It will be an operational fund that gives grants and is open for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
