A view from Columbia - Kresnik Ajdini

Macedonia does not have a problem!

I went been to Columbia recently.

Wonderful climate! Throughout the year, the temperature does not go below 23 degrees. Green space everywhere, thick woods, various plants, on the mountains or valleys.

And the people are even more wonderful! Always in a good mood and full of energy. It is not because of the cocaine, they do not consume it.

In a good mood and pleasant, although, for example, mostly poor, at least in the regions I visited. They mostly have fun sitting and “cooling” in front of their houses, often without a door and windows. They plait their daughter, mother, and aunt’s hair...all day long. Women, of course. And men, besides cooling in front of the house, according to the women, have problems with alcohol. Do they drink a lot?! Between you and me, aguadente, their main drink, contains about 30 degrees of alcohol.

In a good mood and pleasant, although, for example, most of them have a child guerilla or paramilitary. Most often not by their own will, neither parents’, nor child’s. They simply tell you they want to take your 12-year old son. Or that your 14-year old daughter has decided to join the guerilla to feed her family. Or because your 16-year old son has been inspired by a movie such as Rambo.

In a good mood and pleasant, although, for example, they can be killed quite easily. Because the one who shot, thought he had been shooting someone else. Frankly speaking, not very often! And frankly speaking, if it is a mistake, it is followed by an apology!

In a good mood and pleasant, although, for example, they can easily be kidnapped and give what they do not have to be released.

So I, during my frequent “cooling” in my two weeks’ stay in Columbia, thought of Macedonia. According to the population, we are a half of the second big Columbia’s city, Cali. Comparing the hopeless, in my opinion!, situation in Columbia and the imposed difficult situation! in Macedonia.

I know, we have a lot of problems, a large number of unemployed, people without a citizenship, criminal, intolerance towards the different one, bad education, debates on what is good for the different ones, ignoring their own opinion...

And you reach a conclusion that we, actually, do not have a problem. Or, more precisely, we have problems that can be solved. That our main problems are the preoccupations imposed by the media charlatans.

And while talking about the media...When I asked them when they were going to broadcast the interview with me on Radio Nasa, Toribio, Columbia, they told me they were going to do it at 5:30 a.m., when it is mostly listened! And people listen to the radio in a good mood.

We, in Life Radio, have decided that our morning show, which starts at 7 a.m., regarding presentation, to be informative and cold. Because in this time of the day people in Skopje bite! And we should start the “din“ at about 11.30 a.m., when the citizens of Skopje slowly start smiling.

And, in the end, while I was often comparing Columbia and Macedonia, I concluded that even the mayor of Biarica, a town as big as Debar, would solve the Macedonia’s problem in a blink of an eye.
