Jubilees
60 years of UNESCO and The Macedonian Doctors’ Association
The United Nations Organization for Science and Culture celebrated its 60th anniversary in November this year. On that occasion, a gala-celebration was organized in Paris, followed by a culture programme in which two artists from Macedonia took part – the opera-singer, Boris Trajanov (who was also awarded the title “UNESCO Peace Artist) and the musician Dragan Dautivski.
There was another jubilee with the same “weight” in the month of November – The Macedonian Doctors’ Association also celebrated its 60th anniversary, by organizing a celebration a symposium, whose main topic was the medical ethics and the present condition in the health department. The Macedonian Doctors’ Association was established in 1945 with membership of over 5,000 doctors, therefore being one of the oldest and most numerous civil society organizations in Macedonia.
