IN THE SKOPJE MUNICIPALITY CENTAR
Service for Citizens’ Complaints
A Service for citizens’ complaints operates in the Skopje municipality Centar. Citizens can refer to it if they have any complaints concerning the work of this municipality’s organs or ask questions that this municipality is in charge of.
The Service operates within the Civic Information Center, which itself operates within the Centar municipality. The service has been envisioned as a link between the citizens and the municipality’s authorities and as one of the ways of encouraging the public participation in their work.
Citizens can refer to this Service every workday in the barrack number 4, or dial 223-343 and 237-713. If they have any complaints, they will have to fill in a form given to them at the Service, and they will receive the answer in an oral (immediately, or later on the telephone) or written form. The Civic Information Center has a library, too, available for all citizens.
…And a Program for Supporting the Young People
By the end of August, the Centar municipality will be implementing a program for employing about fifty young people (between the age of 18-30) registered as social cases. They will be engaged into several communal project such as arranging parks, public locations, playgrounds, etc. This program is financed by the United Nations Development Program – UNDP, within the SEC program incorporating two aims – employing young people and improving the environmental conditions. Young people engaged in these projects will be paid a salary and insurance for protection at work.
