Report on minorities

The Bulgarian Helsinki Committee (BHC) published an alternative report on the implementation of the Framework Convention for protection of the national minorities' rights. The report assesses with criticism the one that had been previously prepared by the Bulgarian authorities. The BHC report is based on the extensive research of the national minorities' rights in Bulgaria in a period of more than 10 years and on information gained from the academic institutions and non-governmental organizations. The comments regarding the official report refer to the lack of statistical data, simple enumeration of the measures that the Government takes, etc.
