Donation from “Cosmofon”

The hospital in Demir Hisar with renovated rooms, dining room and sanitary knots

The mobile operator “Cosmofon” is donating funds for renovating rooms in the Psychiatry Hospital in Demir Hisar. Patients with disturbed mental health in the Demir Hisar hospital will get improved conditions. With a donation from “Cosmofon” worth 150.000 Euros, some of the rooms where patients stay and are treated have been renovated, dining rooms and the rooms where food is served, laundries and sanitary knots in the building. The psychiatry hospital in Demir Hisar was founded in 1932 and nowadays it has about 600 patients. In the Demir Hisar hospital there is a cabinet for music, painting, a workshop for manual work and a library and they all function successfully.

According to the words of the manager for Public Relations Department in “Cosmofon”, Emilija Trajkovic – Hristova, the company’s strategic determination is to be socially responsible, always helping and looking after those who most need the help.

“We have improved the standard of the hospital service to the patients, as it has been a priority by the Ministry of Health. This is one of the four donations that “Cosmofon” has promised on the occasion of rebrending”, pointed out Hristova. She points out that in this way the company wants to be an example that will be followed  - to show that business growth and social contribution go together and if every one of us dedicates himself only a little to these objectives, results will be great.

Thanks to the donation, the Minister of Health, Imer Selmani, pointed out that renovated rooms were particularly important for those who had stayed in that hospital for many years. He pointed out that the Ministry’s tendency is to reduce the number of patients treated in the Psychiatry Hospital in Demir Hisar and to increase the number of patients treated in the daily hospitals so that they could be with their families and for their faster socialization.
