Eighth week of FARE in Sveti Nikole
With football against racism in Europe
This year’s eighth action week of the FARE network, realized in 37 European countries, was held in Sveti Nikole from 17 to 30 October, under the motto “With football against racism in Europe”. The tournament was organized by the Sveti Nikole Women Organization (youth center “Vavilon”, which is part of its youth program). The tournament final was held on 21 October at the sports hall of the primary school “Kiril i Metodij” and teams from the Voluntary Work Association from Jagodina – Serbia (which won the first place), junior teams from Pesirovo, Gorobinci and the youth team Vavilon Center – Sveti Nikole took part in it.
“Once again the young people showed the world is a beautiful place to live in when we are equal and equally happy about the same things. In this case the football was the link that linked us all in the game, cheering, socializing” – participants say.
The tournament was with mixed teams of young people by sex and ethnicity at the age of 15-25. At their request it was dedicated to the big fan of sport and the humanist – Tose Proeski.
