Stop the experiments done on the animals

 

The association for animal protection “Scre za zivotnite” appealed to the public to stop using products that had been tested on animals for medical, cosmetic or industrial purposes. The appeal was sent on 24 April – the World day for protecting laboratory animals.

Vangel Micevski, president of the association thinks that the products that had been tested on animals, are not safe for the people. “There are over 15 thousand alternative methods of testing, which do not involve the death of an animal. About 65% of the experiments serve for receiving degrees, for doctorates, etc., which means that the experiments done on animals are legal. Our question is until when”, says Micevski.

Under the motto “Stop the experiments done on animals”, the associations distributed informative fliers in the center of Skopje and presented a video material on the same topic at the Cultural Center “Tocka”.
