Specialist association of social medicine doctors
A new web-site: www.soc-med.org.mk
The specialist association of social medicine doctors was established in 1980, at that time as a Specialist section for social medicine and health care organization. In 1993 the section re-registered as an association. The specialist association of social medicine doctors is a professional, non-governmental and non-party association whose voluntary members are social medicine specialist doctors and other members from the Republic of Macedonia engaged in related activities completing similar goals and tasks. The association addresses professional issues from the field; it monitors the organization and the work of the health care within its scope and proposes measures for its promotion and improvement; it cooperates with other medical associations in the fields of common interest.
Recently, the members launched a new web-site with support from the World Health Organization. The promotion and the presentation of their site has the already familiar goal of publishing information with access to all general, professional and scientific public in all aspects of the social living and acting. By placing the professional and scientific information on the internet they become available which is of great significance, both generally and for the improving the cooperation with similar organizations. The internet services make it possible to introduce the visitors to the association’s activities at the same time getting a feedback from them.
This web-site will enable establishing and promoting the professional links with numerous actors from the health sector.
