The civil sector is becoming more and more visible

“Pass a law for access to information!”

“Think of everybody, not just of yours!”

 “Your signature is a law!”

These are some of the tittles of the civil initiatives, campaigns and project that have been going on in the last several months, not only within the civil sector, but the whole Macedonian public. Their inventors and implementers show their creativity and in different forms manage to approach their goals to the citizens, presenting the printed materials on billboards and offering the citizens the possibility to send cards to the relevant state institutions which have been announcing changes in the legislation for a long time now. The above mentioned are also offering the citizens the possibility to give their signatures outside the parliamentary, presidential or local elections and see how their signature becomes a moving force in the society.

Very impressive are the settlements, where, the billboards do not only advertise commercial goods, but they animate the public to get involved in the social changes. It really good to feel, at least for an instant, the positive energy and the trust citizens feel when they sign the cards containing the slogan “Think of everybody, not just of yours”, knowing they reflect upon that issue very often, but, somehow, somebody else put their thoughts in the right words.

The social changes are a very complex material, partially observed from many aspects in all of which the civil society role is becoming more and more visible. It is becoming obvious that the civil society organizations are finding different ways of expressing themselves, their potentials and knowledge, as well as the need to change the conditions they inherited, making their “small” steps in the big world.
