New center for children without parents

On 16 February this year, The First Children Embassy in the World “Medjashi” handed over the new home – an apartment equipped with furniture and other household equipment t – to the children without parents and parental care to be their temporary place for living until they turn 26. The project has been supported by the Ministry f Finance and the World Bank’s municipality development project. Its goal is to contribute in the process of socialization of the young people and their becoming independent in conditions of leaving the orphanage, by providing computer training, foreign languages course, cooking course, as well as their strengthening and encouraging them for independent living, lobbying and advocating, direct psycho-social counseling and support in finding employment.

The apartment was provided by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and its complete equipping has been done by “Medjashi” as part of the project “Psycho-social and educational support of children without parents after leaving the orphanage “11 October”.

A number of respectable public representatives took place at the official handover of the apartment, such as the KIP President Liljana Popovska, PRO Executive Director Biljana Lazarevska and others.
