The Ethno-Centre Balkanika will continue its work at the primary schools in Tetovo
"We grow up together" in four primary schools
Two hundred pupils from the primary schools "Kiril i Metodij", "Istigbal", "Andrej Saveski - Kikis", and "Goce Delcev" from Tetovo will be involved in the continuation of the project "We grow up together" implemented by the Ethno Centre Balkanika from Tetovo and the NGO Forum - ZDF from Bonn.
"We grow up together" is a continuation of the pilot-project that was being implemented only at the primary school "Kiril i Metodij". The project is still focused on the peaceful ways of conflict resolution, reduction of the children's aggressive behaviour, respecting the differences, development of defensive mechanism against frustration, development of the pupils' capacities for mutual living in different ethnic and age groups, development of the pupils' imagination and creativity, introducing methods of recognizing conflicts and non-aggressive methods of their resolution. Besides the pupils, the project includes the teachers and the parents.
The pupils will be engaged in activities in the field of environment and sport, in creative workshops and workshops for introducing the techniques of communication. In the moths for introducing the terms discrimination and conflict, the students will be explained the most common sources of discrimination.
The project is supported by the German Federal Government as a sponsor, the Stability Pact for Eastern and South - Eastern Europe and the Caritas office, France.
