Emphasis on training courses
Donations, such as we know and imagine, foreign, external, and mostly financial, are being slowly reduced. Even you are aware yourself how hard it is to get them lately. Will that provoke second thought in your work? Have you been so dependent on it?
I hope that you will answer this questions negatively, because if you follow the civic associations' work, you can easily realize that the less money donations we receive, the more active we are in terms of organizing and offering training courses for managing a project cycle, strategic planning, organizational planning, financial planning, etc, on several levels - beginner's courses, advanced courses and so on. These are things that you most often see in the civic sector's work. Without a theoretical background, and then practical, it can easily occur, and it is occurring, you project to be declined by the donator, or to position your organization badly, or to manage your finances inappropriately. And, as it is said, there is always money for a good project. There will always be donators, too, not necessarily foundations or civic organizations, but perhaps the business sector, state institutions, etc.
Your participation in financing these trainings is mostly symbolic, just to mark your interest in the certain problem that will strengthen your organization mark the participation we are after.
The Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation continues to work in that spirit. The proof for that are the last month's training courses in the above-mentioned fields. Another proof are the future competitions on the same subjects.
Ant it is not only MCIC. Other civic organizations move in the same direction. I hope you will join too.
