Senat Vrajnko – Bekiri

Young people – volunteer in the civil society associations

Professional experience: As my professional experience (in the field of education) I will mention my educational cycle consisting of: primary education in Vrapciste, high school in Gostivar and university at Eskishekir, Turkey and Skopje, Macedonia.

Engagement in the civil sector: Since 2000, I have been an active member of the association “Millennium” from Vrapciste. First, as a member of the presidential board, to continue as a president and now an executive director. At the same time, I am a member of other organizations and unions.

Hobbies and interests: My favorite hobby is walking and going out in the nature and I am also interested in visiting friends.

Toughest decision: One of the toughest decisions in my life was to decide which football team to support, since I had friends who were trying to make me support Galatasaray, others Fenerbahce….and in the end I decided to support the latter….and now I am happy for it.

Ambitions: I always want to reflect positive energy, to share my knowledge with the others. I want to be rich so that I can support the work of the civil society organizations and the creative ideas of the young people.

In his free time he reads: No only in my free time, but every night before going to sleep, I read a book.

Where does he go in his free time? In my free time I go to the coffee bar LALEZAR in Vrapciste.

At weekends: At weekends I go out for a walk with my family or I play basketball or football.

Which national (local) problem does he find especially important and why? My philosophy is to strengthen the civil sector with financial support and not to close the already existing associations. At the same time, the national and the local authorities should pay more attention to them, and not for their echelon which show no signs of professionalism, just a bad image of the civil movement.

Which global problem does he find especially important and why? The biggest, which causes the exploitation of people, is the increase of people’s dependence on the energy, which includes money, mobile phones, the Internet, the shopping, etc.

What would he change in Macedonia / in the world? In Macedonia, I would change the politics; it would be more economically than nationalistically oriented. I would introduce a presidential model of governance; I would make the whole country a free economic zone. As far as the world is concerned…I would like the science to serve the god aims.

Advice/message: Young people, show initiative and volunteer in the civil society associations.

I could never: Be different from what I am now.
