People: Aleksandar Todorovski

Volunteering RULES!!!

Professional experience:
Student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – department of Industrial Management

Engagement in the civil sector:
Eight-year experience at the Youth Cultural Centre – Bitola, in the beginning as a volunteer, and recently as a person in charge of international volunteer exchange.

Hobbies and interests:
Surfing the net.

Toughest decision:
So far, I haven’t had one I can distinguish.

Ambitions:
My ambitions are focused on enriching my experience in the civil sector, which, of course, means postgraduate training abroad in the field of non-governmental management.

In his free time he reads:
Well, I read different things like professional materials, texts related to my studies, bulletins and other things related to my ambitions for self-promotions and raising myself to a higher level of communication. When I have some more time, I enjoy reading a god book.

Where does he go in his free time?

In my free time during the week, which is scarce, I try to do some sport or see my friends in a bar.

At weekends:
Usually, my friends and I have a cup of coffee and a relaxed conversation in “Sirok Sokak”. I try to dedicate the rest of my time to my family and my family activities.

Which national/local problem does he find especially important and why?
There are still many things in this country which are not clear. Anyway, every citizen, young or old, must know what is considered to be “illegal” in the society. We must act in a civilized manner. It takes more effort to publicly announce the laws and support every legal political effort for clarifying and explaining the laws. The country and the government should “strike” anything illegal through their channels. Everybody should stick to the motto that we are all equal in front of the law.

Which global problem does he find especially important and why?
It is still difficult and dangerous to travel in many parts of the world, violence and tyranny are present and senseless and mean people are allowed to have control over the power and use it for their personal interests.

Advice / message:
Volunteering RULES !!!

I could never:
Tolerate injustice.
