PEOPLE: Zaklina Paunovska - Angelkovik
It doesn't matter how long, but how we live
Professional experience: Volunteer in many spheres of our social organizing.
Engagement in the civic sector: First, member of CSO Nadez - Kocani, then a spokesperson of GARD - Kocani, since 2001 she has been a member of CSO Equal for Everyone - Kocani and presently its president. This organization is engaged in activities for realizing economic, social, cultural, educational, sport, environmental and other rights, interests and beliefs.
Hobbies and interests: First, I have to mention the cooking as my everyday creative activity. I am also interested in metalworks and mechanical works due to my husband's profession (many people are surprised at my knowledge in that field). Together with my 10-year old son, we collect paper napkins, and of course, I must not forget the books and the films.
Toughest decision: I never regret my decisions. I believe that in that moment and at that place and under those conditions the decision I make is the right one. For me the decisions are not tough or easy, but right and on time or wrong and belated. I am faced with one very wrong decision which made my life turn into a different direction, and at the moment I am fully engaged to fix it.
Ambitions: To graduate at the Faculty of Transport in Bitola and find a successful and fruitful job.
In her free time she reads: Besides the daily newspapers I read the materials for my exams, which at the moment occupy the dominant position in my engagements.
At weekends: I am totally devoted to my family - my husband, my two sons and my mother. The decision where to spend the weekend - whether at home with my family or at some of the nice picnic locations along Bregalnica or on Osogovo Mountain is a result of a mutual compromise.
Which national problem does she find especially important and why: On my priority list are the laws, the finances, but most of all and above all the trust in the institutions of the system, the unemployment...
Which global problem: The non-governing of the law which slows down the development of our civil society. The security is disturbed through various forms, such as the terrorism, the drugs, the guns, the white slaves and especially the corruption.
What would she change in Macedonia: In order to change Macedonia, I should probably change the public awareness in Macedonia, and the part that we can fix first is ourselves.
Message: It does not matter how long, but how we live. Therefore we should not grieve, but look for the strength in what had left behind us, we are together forever and we should build a new world, even on the ruins of the old one.
