6-12 September: Balkan Youth Forum

The Balkan Children and Youth Foundation (BCYF) has organized the Second Balkan Youth Forum that will take place from 6 to 12 September in Trogir, Croatia, in cooperation with the Youth Department at the Croatian Ministry of Family, Veterans and International Solidarity. 

 

13 September: Counselling on diseases of addiction 

The Union of Women against Drugs in Macedonia and the Union for Prevention from Alcohol, Nicotine and Drug Addictions from Skopje organize counselling on "Diseases of Addiction - Cause of Violence" on 13 September 2004 at the Humanitarian Organizations Centre "Dare Dzambaz" in Skopje. 

 

16 September: Protection of the ozone layer

The Day for Protection of the Ozone Layer has been established at the United Nations Organization in order to conduct a continuous campaign against the release of substances that lead to impoverishment of the ozone layer and ozone holes. 

 

18 September: Geologists Day

The Association of Geologists from all over the world celebrates 18 September as a Day of their profession. The Geologists Day should remind us of the importance of this basic science and activity and the need of its development. 

 

22 September: Europe without cars

The European Union, as well as the other European countries that are not part of it yet, celebrate the 22 September as a day when we should leave our cars in the garages and on the parking places, and instead use the public transport, the bikes - or simply walk.   

 

20 September and 3 October: Close to my Roma neighbour 

The programme for exchanging young people called "Close to my Roma neighbour", which takes place in Sinaija, Bucharest, Ruse, Plovdiv and Sofia and is supported by the European Commission YOUTH Programme, has the goal to overcome the stereotypes and discrimination of Roma people in Europe. It will be attended by participants from Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Spain.
